In March of this year, I interviewed Blackberry Smoke’s drummer Brit Turner. He’s a great guy, talented musician and a gentleman of the highest order to all that know him. Big car guy. I sent him an electronic version of Ghostland America back in the spring after our interview. He’s got a line on the last page in Ghostland America. All was well back in the spring…

Then in August, Turner suffered a heart-attack. He missed a few shows, recovered and in true rock & roll fashion hit the road again. I just learned today that he’s now recovering from brain-surgery. Damn. He just texted me on October 26. Knowing what he and his family have endured makes my heart heavy. Omit unnecessary whining from your life. Our interview reveals his noteworthy story.

Everyone should be a little more thankful for what they have because in a flash it could be gone. I’d like to send out love & light to Brit and his family, Blackberry Smoke and all those concerned.

Get well soon, Brit. Positive vibrations…
